Apolis is B-Corp certified and our bags are made at a specific co-op in Bangladesh that is committed to providing above-Fair Trade wages, annual profit dividends, and a retirement fund for hundreds of mothers — which means that quantities are often limited. We’re currently in the process of expanding our production capabilities, but we’re committed to doing so in a way that doesn’t put pressure on these factories to cut corners in quality or ethical sourcing, though that means we can’t offer all our bags at all times of the year.

Masks: The masks are made in Los Angeles, CA. Each seamstress that assembles the mask receives fair wages.
Before we ship, the product goes through a special print customization process to add your special word or phrase.
Bags take 10-business days to customize. If you need it fast, you have the option to shorten the customization phase to 1-business day and ship the bag the following day. Once shipped the bag will follow shipment schedules. We charge a small fee to print and ship in 1-day. Please note, if your order is placed after 4pm PST it will be shipped the next business day.

Please note, return procedures for customized and non-customized products differ. To keep things simple for you, we offer refunds instead of exchanges. To return non-customized items please note: Items need to be postmarked within 30 calendar days of receipt for a refund to your original method of payment or store credit. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Items must be returned in their original condition (unused, unwashed, unaltered) with the original packaging and tags attached.
To return customized items please note: Customized products are not eligible for a return unless you encounter a craftsmanship or quality issue which includes: If your bag arrives with rivets missing or a damaged handle. If your bag arrives with smudged print. If your bag arrives with text that is slanted or cut off. Please note: since each bag is handmade, there will be slight variations in jute texture from bag to bag; no two bags will look exactly the same. Additionally, bags suffering from general wear and tear are not eligible for return. Items purchased from other retail partners are not eligible for returns.

If your bag does not meet the requirements above, a refund will NOT be issued and if you sent your bag to us, you will receive it back.
